“Remember” in the Museum of Modern Art “Dom Muz” an exposition devoted to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War was opened

With the beginning of 2020 year, in the first and the only one Museum of Modern Art in Yaroslavl “Dom Muz” an exposition devoted to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War was opened.

Works of outstanding domestic painters and sculptors from Russian Academy of Art were included in the exhibition, among those Zurab Tsereteli, Helium Korzhev, Vladimir Surovtsev, Mikhail Kugach, Andrey Zakharov and others. Here are presented both modern installations and works created in the first post-war years. All of them shed light on the tragic pages of history, evoking a deep emotional response from the audience, feelings of empathy and gratitude to people who survived during the difficult war years.

The exhibition is a mutual project of the Museum of Modern Art “Dom Muz”, the Russian Academy of Arts, Art gallery under the name of Nekrasov in the village V’atskoye. The author is the founder of historical-cultural center ” V’atskoye ” Oleg Zharov, curator – painter Alexander Shilov.

During this year, called the year of memory and honor, the exposition will be supplemented by open lessons, cultural and educational programs and meetings with war veterans.

Entrance to the exhibition is free.
