Alexei Shaburov Met With Olga Gremyakova, Deputy Prime Minister of Tula Region

During September tour to the region. Alexei Shaburov, Director of the Association of Private Museums of Russia, met with Olga Gremyakova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Tula Region, and Irina Ivanova, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Tula Region.

The meeting focused on the possibility of holding events of the Association of Private Museums of Russia in Tula. During the conversation, the parties agreed to present an exposition of private museums in the atrium of the Tula Kremlin in May 2021.

In August this year, Tula received the title of the museum capital of Russia. There are four federal museums in the region, a branch of federal institution, the State Historical Museum, has recently appeared, the Tula Military History Museum, the Kremlin Museum and the Archeology Museum have been opened in the atrium. Museum Quarter is being formed in the very center of the city.

The parties expressed confidence that the implementation of a new interesting and large-scale project with the participation of private museums will be the next step in turning Tula into one of the largest cultural and tourist centers in the country.
