The penultimate lesson of the online gusli course was devoted to the music of the South Russian tradition. The listeners got acquainted with two new tunes – Timonya, Kursk Region, which was performed during group dancing “karagod”, and Matanya, for performing short chorus songs of lyrical content. For the wing-shaped gusli, we tried to combine different playing techniques within the framework of a single tune, which allowed us to combine different rhythmic patterns both in the playing with chords and in the play of melodies. An interesting question was also asked about whether ancient tunes are used in modern music. We are waiting for you at the final webinar, which will be held on April 22 at 15:00 Moscow time.
