Vladimir Kutulovski is a professional burglar of locks, but is not relevant to criminal activities. He can open vaults, safes and doors only at the request of owners or government entities. The idea to start the collecting of mechanical locking devices came up to him when the safes, which were installed in old factory premises and old banks, ceased to harmonize with the European repair and people began to get rid of them. Over time, the St. Petersburg master opened the museum, in order to preserve the history of locks for future generations.
About the museum’s collection, the most interesting and complex locking devices that are difficult or impossible to open without damage, as well as about the pride of the museum–the collection of nameplates with the name of the manufacturer of locks and safes –the “Saint Petersburg Today” program correspondent Lana Konokotina will tell you about all of this.
