On August 18 at 13:00, TASS will host an online press conference dedicated to the LELYALAND art festival and the centenary anniversary of the legend of Russian animation Leonid Shvartsman.
The festival program, retrospective and premiere screenings of children’s cartoons, as well as the first exposition of author’s drawings and sketches of cartoon characters, on which several generations of Russians grew up, will be told by: animation director, honorary director of the Moscow Museum of Animation, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Leonid Shvartsman; director, animator, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Yuri Norshtein; animator, director Harry Bardin; photographer Sergey Lidov; animation director, creative director of the Moscow Museum of Animation Kirill Polikarpov; and director of the Association of Private Museums of Russia, President of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center Alexey Shaburov.
On August 30, 2020, animation artist Leonid Shvartsman, author of the legendary cartoons The Scarlet Flower, Golden Antelope, The Snow Queen, Cheburashka, Crocodile Gena, Kitten named Woof, 38 parrots, Mitten, Caution, monkeys! and many others will celebrate his 100th anniversary.
The Lelaland art festival will be held in the Izmailovo Kremlin from August 30 to September 6, 2020.
The press conference will be held online. Media representatives can take part in the event remotely with prior accreditation. To do this, you need to specify a personal mobile number with the WhatsApp application installed during registration.
