The Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia moving its headquarters

It’s a time of change for the Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia, headed by Alexey Shaburov. And the first major change is the change of location. The Association has moved from Moscow to a magnificently beautiful place near the Oka Nature Reserve, about 250 km from the capital. The new address is 5A, Lesnaya st., Orekhovo village, Spassky district, Ryazan region, 391073.

The construction of a new Orekhovo Museum and Educational Complex is also underway. It will comprise the World Calligraphy Museum, the Museum of Russian Gusli and Chinese Guqin, and other private museums that will express their desire to join the project. There are also plans to develop ecotourism and agritourism, which really suits the region blessed with such extraordinary natural resources. According to Alexey Shaburov’s plan, the complex will revive the village by creating new jobs and attracting tourists who will be able not only to visit the museums but also take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in this magnificent place.
