The Association of private museums of Russia has incorporated the mobile Museum-Gallery of picturesque embroidery

The  mobile Museum-Gallery of picturesque  embroidery has become the  part of the  Association of private museums of Russia  collection.

The Museum-Gallery of picturesque embroidery was opened  in March 2020. His founder Svetlana Dianova, since 2017, has led the ” Life beautiful” project , dedicated to the embroidery of complex multi-color canvases, made from paintings by famous artists.

Over the three years of the project’s existence, it has brought together  more than 200 Russian and foreign craftswomen. According to Svetlana, this is absolutely the unique embroiderers, for many of whom the “Life is beautiful” project has became a source of inspiration, an outlet. Last year they held five joint exhibitions, and two other exhibitions  this year. Currently part of their paintings is located in the State Museum- estate “Ostafevo” – “Russian Parnassus”.

All embroidered paintings are made by hand in the technique of “full cross”, or “Petit / half-cross” (“tapestry”), and it takes months and even years of daily hard work of the  embroiderer to create  each  picture.

The idea to create a museum was suggested to Svetlana by the Director of the Association of private museums of Russia  Alexey Shaburov. All previous work on the organization of exhibitions, information and educational work has begun to bring its  own benefits. Multicolored embroidery was recognized as an art form, that deserves attention of lovers of the beauty. The moment, when the work of embroiderers can be show the world as the museum  value, have come.
