The illustrated albums of the “Tare and Packaging” magazine, that changed the view of packaging for all those people, who read it

These retrospective illustrated albums were created by the employees and the partners of the “Tare and Packaging” inter-industry magazine (www.magpack.ru) and the museum of packaging (www.museumpack.ru) at the turn of the 20th and 21st  centuries and have long been bibliographic rarities.

All these four albums include systematic collections of sample packages, labels and advertising paraphernalia, used by Russian entrepreneurs in the 19th-20th centuries (kept in the archive of the museum of packaging).

Three of these publications were accompanied by art and educational exhibitions with appropriate names, organized by the editorial board of the magazine:

“Two Centuries of the Russian Label” (in the exhibition hall of the Moscow Polytechnic Museum in 1998);

“Moscow,on Packages and Labels” (in the Moscow Mayor`s Office, in 2007–in commemoration of the 860th anniversary of Moscow);

“Silver Age of Russian Wrapper” (in Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre and in the Moscow Polytechnic Museum in 2010, later in Vladimir-Suzdal and Pereslavl- Zalessky Museum-Reserves).

Even now these albums remain relevant and of undoubted interest for designers, marketers, entrepreneurs, collectors, for everyone, who is interested in the history of entrepreneurship in Russia.
