The Sixth Educational Festival of Historical Reenactment “Belgorod Line” will be held on September 2-3, 2022

Two festival days are scheduled. On September 2-3, an educational program for students of the Belgorod region will take place. Guests will go on a quest — a route 6 kilometers long. They will learn about the history of the Belgorod Line, visit the Lithuanian Verkh and Muravsky Trail, find the treasure, take the fort by assault, capture the flag and release the prisoners. On September 3, admission is free of charge. Tourists will be met by professional reenactment actors. About 100 people, dressed in authentic costumes, set up a camp according to the traditions of that time. They will show you everyday life — in times of peace and war. 10 interactive platforms are ready for guests. There you can shoot a bow, compete in short spear throw, load a musket, and strike a fire. All that will happen within 12 historical locations — the copies of real fortifications of the 17th century fortress cities. A wooden and earthen fortress, an earthen tower, a watch tower, a “crooked” bridge. All locations are open and interactive.

For food lovers, a coulibiac festival will take place. It’s a Russian traditional dish made with various fillings. A separate area serving dishes of Russian cuisine, a whole square of craftsmanship and a lot of music.

The festival allows you to explore the history of 17th century Russia in a game format, gain knowledge and create some unforgettable memories. All this will take place in a historical place – at the foot of the ancient defensive rampart of the Belgorod Line. Today it is an archaeological monument of the 17th century — a fragment of the rampart between the Bolkhovets and Karpov fortresses. It was in this place that our ancestors defended the borders of Russia 400 years ago.
