The Volgari Museum is a Member of the Association of Russian Private Museums

The museum is open on the territory of the old pier in the city of Kalyazin and, metaphorically speaking, is located on a hiking trail. The exposition reveals the secrets of the city under water, and describes the relationships between Kalyazin and the Volga trade route. The museum presents the daily life of local residents, the Volgars, information about the fate of people in the flood zone, models of the old city and the Volga vessels of the 20th century.

The museum’s collection also includes household and professional items of the Volga residents, handicrafts of the Tver Region, models of the modern city of Kalyazin and the Volga vessels, photographs and posters.
