The winter sports season in Ryazan is about to start at the skating rink “Our Orekhovo”

On December 25, 2021, the opening of the new hockey season will take place at the ice rink “Our Orekhovo” in the village of Orekovo, Spassky district, Ryazan region.

A hockey match between the teams of the village of Izhevskoye and the city of Spassk-Ryazansky from the amateur hockey league will take place as part of the opening ceremony. The teams will compete for the first sports trophy — “Our Orekhovo” Cup.

The guest of honor is the famous Soviet hockey player, goalkeeper, Master of Sports of the USSR Sergey Nikolaevich Babariko.  Everyone is welcome to attend the match and test the ice for free. The event agenda also includes figure skating performances by athletes of the State Autonomous Institution of the Ryazan Region “Iceberg Sports School”, the cold steel exhibition “Blade. Tradition and Modernity”, the calligraphy workshop “First Attempt” by the Yury Arutsev Original School “Russian Calligraphy and Ligature” from Yaroslavl, and an exhibition of retro cars from the museum “Cars of the World”.

14:30 – 14:40 Introduction of the teams participating in the ice hockey tournament

14:40 – 16:30 “Our Orekhovo” Cup match

16:30 – 16:45 Awards ceremony

16:45 – 17:00 Players photo session

16:45 The ice rink “Our Orekhovo” opens for everyone

 

The event is organized by the Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia, A. Yu. Shaburov Agricultural Farm, the Administration of the Spassky district, the Administration of the Lakashinsky rural settlement, and residents of the village of Orekhovo.
