Workshop by Vyacheslav Borisovich Kornev: How to Preserve Family Archives?

On December 11, the workshop “How to Preserve Family Archives?” was held in the historical park “Russia — My History” (Stavropol Territory).

The talk was given by genealogist Vyacheslav Borisovich Kornev, Director of the private museum “Family Archive”.
Presenting unique documents from his private collection, Vyacheslav Borisovich spoke about the culture of preserving family history, its formation, and destruction over time.
He highlighted the content of the documents and the possibility to use them in research work.
During the Q&A session, workshop participants were given practical recommendations on finding information about their ancestors.
The workshop was held as part of the family history course “The Recipe of Memory”, which is carried out with the grant support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

The museum “Family Archive” is a member of the Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia.
